Our Christmas Trip to Ennis

On Monday 21 December we left León to spend some days at home in Ennis, Ireland. Or so we thought. Our trip home was like this:

06.30 am: Leave León to get to aiport on time because of snow on roads.
08.00am: Arrive in Valladolid airport.
09.00am: Ryanair tell us that our incoming plane is being diverted from our airport to Santander. So, off we go on a 3 hours bus trip.
13.00: Arrive in Santander, plane takes off straight away for London!
15.30: Yipeee! We arrive in London in plenty of time for our connecting flight to Shannon, Ireland.
15.31: Oh dear. It's snowing in London too.
20.00: Our flight to Shannon is delayed because the runway is closed due to snow.
23.30: No, our flight is in fact cancelled. "Go to collect your bags and rebook on ryanair.com, thank you"
13.30: Our bags are given back to us. Colm finds us a hotel nearby. Thank you Colm. Jim books us on the next flight to Shannon- on Wednesday!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Jim.
14.3o We arrive in our hotel in London, approx. 20 hours after leaving home. The kids are, errrmm, a bit tired.
Tuesday: Day out in London. Hotdogs in Hyde park for lunch:

Finally, on Wednesday afternoon, around 16.00 we get to nana's house.
